Briffa is committed to promoting equal opportunities in employment and creating a workplace culture in which diversity and inclusion is valued, and everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
Our aim is to encourage and support diversity, equity and inclusion and actively promote a culture that values difference and eliminates discrimination in our workplace.
A number of Briffa lawyers are part of DEI networks such as IP Inclusive (a network of intellectual property professionals, working to make our community more equal, diverse and inclusive) and myGwork (myGwork is the largest global business community of LGBTQ+ professionals, graduates, inclusive employers). Moreover, a number of Briffa lawyers are members of Women in IP and attend events dedicated to supporting women in the profession.
Briffa also provides advice and support to the WE Innovate programme (a programme run by Imperial College London Enterprise Lab, which is designed to drive innovation in the UK by promoting female founders/entrepreneurs). Our employees are encouraged to participate in these networks, programmes and events, with the aim of fostering a culture diversity, equity and inclusion at Briffa and in our wider profession.
As part of our commitment to promoting DEI, we are also developing internal DEI forums to provide more direct support and facilitate learning and understanding in relation to DEI issues at Briffa.
