Danielle Roman
Danielle Roman
Danielle is a Partner and Practice Leader of the Mourant Hong Kong Banking and Finance team, having practised in Asia for over 17 years. She advises on a broad spectrum of cross-border transactions, including fund finance, asset finance (in particular aviation and shipping), acquisition and leveraged finance, debt restructurings and general corporate lending. In fund financing, Danielle regularly represents private and commercial banks on subscription credit facilities, hybrids, NAVs and GP/Management facilities. She is on the global board of the Fund Finance Association and chair of the APAC Executive Committee, and is also a board member of Women in Fund Finance. Danielle has significant expertise in helping major financial institutions, lessors and investors on the financing and leasing of commercial aircraft, corporate jets and other related assets across a variety of structures. Danielle also advises on the finance and leasing of ships, yachts and other vessels. She is on the advisory board for The Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation and on the leadership team and board member for Advancing Women in Aviation Roundtable (AWAR).

Paul is the regional Managing Partner of Mourant Asia and the Managing Partner of the Mourant Hong Kong office. He is also the Practice Leader of the firm's Corporate and Investment Funds team in Asia. Paul regularly advises on corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions (public and private), investment funds, joint ventures and the restructuring of companies and structures. These will often be complex and/or private equity-related transactions. Paul has been ranked as a leading individual by Chambers and Partners since 2008 (initially in the United Kingdom and then Asia) and the Legal 500 since 2015. Since 2020 he has been listed in the A-List Offshore Lawyers category in the Asia Business Law Journal and in the A-List China's Elite Foreign Lawyers category in the China Business Law Journal.

Simon is a Partner and Global Practice Leader of the Mourant Finance and Corporate team. He has significant experience in banking and finance transactions, with an emphasis on acquisition finance. Simon's practice focuses on advising leading international lenders, sponsors and borrowers on a wide range of cross-border transactions, including event-driven acquisition and leveraged finance, asset finance (with a particular focus on shipping and aircraft finance), real estate financing, pre-IPO financing, trade financing, integrated debt and equity financing, debt restructuring, OTC derivatives and structured products, security enforcement, and project and energy finance. He also advises on mainstream corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, general corporate advisory and voluntary liquidations.

Tony is Consultant in the International Trusts and Private Client practice. Prior to joining Mourant, he led the Trust and Private Client practice for Europe and the Middle East at another leading offshore law firm. Tony has almost 30 years' experience advising trustees, beneficiaries, protectors, banks and high-net-worth individuals on a wide range of trust and private client matters. He has co-authored three books, Drafting Cayman Islands Trusts, Drafting British Virgin Islands Trusts and Guernsey Trust Law and is the Cayman country correspondent for Trusts & Trustees, the leading international journal for trust law and practice.
