Hannah Clarke
Hannah is a Consultant and Catastrophic Injury Lead at Serious Injury Law. She has over 25 years of experience in supporting injured people and their families after life-changing incidents, and has obtained well over £60m in damages for her clients over her career. Hannah has helped children and adults after traumatic brain injuries, amputation and spinal cord injuries, and those who have sustained psychiatric injuries as a result of an incident. Hannah’s passion and focus is on making a positive difference and helping people affected by trauma in any way she can. Hannah has also supported many families who have sadly been bereaved, helping them to access the emotional and financial support they need, including supporting families at inquests and criminal hearings, and bringing claims for secondary victims. Through her experience of supporting people after serious and fatal incidents, Hannah has also developed relationships with police family liaison officers nationwide and regularly provides training for officers on personal injury work and how we support families. She has also presented to other professionals who help people after serious injury, including medical professionals, charities, Citizens Advice Bureau and Victim Support Officers. Hannah has won two Court of Appeal cases and a national Young Achiever of the Year award 2009. Recently secured in excess of £10m for a spinal cord injured client involved in a motorbike road traffic collision. Julia is a Partner at Serious Injury Law in our platinum serious injury team. She has been practicing law since 1996 and boasts extensive experience in catastrophic personal injury law.   With a national reputation to her name, she is recognised throughout the industry for her formidable legal skills, with Legal 500 describing Julia as “unbelievably knowledgeable” whilst also recognising her close working relationship with the Court of Protection team to support her claimants.  Julia previously led our Catastrophic Personal Injury department and now serves as a Technical Lead in her field. She specialises in catastrophic spinal, brain, amputation, brachial plexus, and fatal accident cases. Throughout the course of her career, she has secured many multi-million-pound settlements, including nearly £25 million in damages in 2023-2024.  Julia is passionate about helping clients rebuild their lives, particularly in cases where other firms have refused. A highlight of her career includes winning the “Outstanding Case of the Year” award in 2012 for a complex rescue case involving a spinal cord injury. Caroline Morris
Caroline Morris
Caroline is the Managing Director of Serious Injury Law and has specialised in the personal injury sector for over 27 years. During her career, she has settled some of the largest and/or complex cases in the firm, many involving PPO settlements and provisional damages. Caroline works exclusively with clients who have suffered catastrophic injuries; namely spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputation, brachial plexus and poly trauma, and in recent years has recovered over £100m in damages for her clients. She achieves rehabilitation options early, so her clients benefit from the best treatment and care at the earliest stage to enable optimal recovery. Whilst known amongst her peers and opponents for her collaborative working style, she is also a renowned litigator and has had consistent success with interlocutory matters including non-party applications, interim payments applications and the like, as well as winning complex catastrophic cases at trial. Her cases have received regional, national and industry coverage. Ben Priestley
Ben is a Partner and Solicitor at Serious Injury Law. He has been responsible for many of the firm’s most complex and high-value cases over the last 20 years. He has represented numerous adults and children in cases involving brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, polytrauma and fatal accidents. Ben’s focus is always rehabilitation and practical support for his clients, together with ensuring they achieve the best possible outcome in their claim. Many of his clients have suffered a major trauma and have received treatment at an NHS Major Trauma Centre. He regularly concludes multi-million-pound settlements on behalf of his clients, often involving a lump sum of damages combined with an annual payment, for life.
