Position
Quak Fi Ling is the Co-Head of the Private Equity and Sustainability & Responsible Business Practices and a Partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.
Career
Her main practice areas are mergers and acquisitions, privatisations, private equity investments and corporate and commercial transactions.
Fi Ling has been described as someone who has "in-depth knowledge", "able to negotiate well" and is "commercial and calm under pressure". She has been praised for being "smart and a strong negotiator" as well as "highly appreciated for her comprehensive advice which addresses risks that can be overlooked by others".
Fi Ling also guest lectures on the module for Entrepreneurship in Singapore – From Cradle to Grave, at the Singapore Management University. She graduated from the National University of Singapore and is admitted to the Singapore Bar.

Significant transactions that Fi Ling has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:
A consortium comprising HOPU, Hillhouse, Bank of China Group and Vanke Real Estate and CEO of Global Logistics Properties Limited (GLP), in the acquisition of GLP by way of a scheme of arrangement. This deal was awarded "Deal of the Year" and "Best Leveraged Finance Deal" at the FinanceAsia Achievement Awards, 2017, "M&A Deal of the Year: South East Asia" at The Asian Lawyer's Asia Legal Awards 2018, and M&A Deal of the Year (Premium) at the ALB SE Asia Law Awards, 2018. CWT Limited, and its controlling shareholder C & P Holdings Pte. Ltd (C & P) in the pre-conditional voluntary general offer made by a wholly-owned subsidiary of HNA Holding Group Co. Limited for CWT. Baring Private Equity Asia Pte. Ltd. in the sale of a 73.8% stake held by its investee company, Singapore Retail Group Limited, in Courts Asia Limited (Courts Asia) through a voluntary conditional cash offer made by Nojima Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. for Courts Asia. Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation Ltd (Keppel T&T) in the acquisition of Keppel T&T by Keppel Corporation Limited by way of a scheme of arrangement. Wheelock and Company (Wheelock) in the voluntary unconditional general offer for Wheelock Properties (Singapore) Limited (Wheelock Properties), where Wheelock Properties was valued at over S$2.5 billion. Keppel Infrastructure Trust in relation to the combination of KIT and CitySpring Infrastructure Trust.Publications:
