Commercial Mediation
Position
Oliver is a full-time, accredited mediator (CMC registered and internationally accredited) specialising in civil and commercial disputes. He works nationwide and internationally and is particularly known for his expertise in private wealth, trust and probate, family business, and sport-related disputes.
With over a decade of experience as a mediator, Oliver is valued for his tenacity, empathy and ability to cut through complexity to help parties reach practical, workable solutions. His psychotherapeutic approach, combined with a robust legal background, enables him to guide parties through highly sensitive, often emotionally charged conflicts.
Oliver mediates a wide range of matters including succession and inheritance disputes, trusts and estates, company and partnership disagreements, property disputes, contractual and commercial matters, professional negligence claims, and elder law issues. He is particularly experienced in complex, high-value disputes involving UHNW and HNW clients and in multi-party disputes where he advocates the use of co-mediation.
Career
Trained at Allen & Overy LLP (Magic Circle), London, before joining Wrigleys Solicitors, Leeds, where he spent ten years and was a partner in the private client team. Oliver has been a full-time mediator for over a decade.
