Henry Cunnington

Henry is an Associate Director in Edelman’s Crisis & Risk team in London, and leads the UK Legal Affairs practice. He joined Edelman after spending over 6 years as a litigation lawyer at two leading international law firms where he specialised in international commercial disputes and crisis management, particularly across the energy, shipping, and insurance sectors. Henry draws on this broad experience to provide crisis and strategic communications support to B2B and B2C companies, including Euroclear, DP World, Hargreaves Lansdown, Nissan, Shell and Starbucks. This cover a variety of highly sensitive legal matters, including litigations (including High Court and CAT / class-action), regulatory investigations, employment disputes, and cyber incidents.. He also regularly assists clients with crisis preparedness, including through scenario planning, preparing crisis manuals, and leading crisis simulation exercise for senior executives. Henry remains on the roll of solicitors in England & Wales.

He has managed numerous campaigns, corporate reputational issues and litigation-related matters domestically and internationally, partnering with clients as diverse as Nissan, UPS, Allianz, DP World, LinkedIn, Shell, EY, and a European Prime Minister. He has supported multiple businesses to successfully manage and respond to class-action lawsuits, prepare IPOs and navigate other sensitive legal and regulatory issues. Nick previously spent several years as a political adviser in the UK Labour Party, including three years with responsibility for the housing policy portfolio.
