Position
Katarzyna specializes in the area of Life Sciences and medical law, particularly medical device law, while having significant experience in civil and business law. She has been advising businesses related to the medical sector for almost 15 years.
For the past 10 years she has been running a legal blog on medical devices: Wyroby medyczne okiem Temidy (Medical devices in Temida’s view).
Katarzyna assists manufacturers, importers and distributors of medical devices, cosmetic products and personal care products in establishing strategies for operating in the processes of marketing products, ensuring regulatory compliance and developing safe marketing activities. She advises on issues related to commercial contracts, business transactions and other aspects of business operations in the medical sector.
The scope of her interests also focuses on civil litigation for damages arising from incidents and defective medical devices. She has successfully litigated cases before the Polish Supreme Administrative Court regarding the recognition of products as medical devices. She also conducts proceedings before the President of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products, customs and tax authorities.
Katarzyna regularly conducts specialized webinars, trainings and lectures on industry topics for both companies and public institutions. She has authored numerous publications. She is a founding member of several associations, including the Polish Association of Company Lawyers (PSPP).
She has a wide range of experience, which she has accumulated over more than a dozen years, focusing on highly specialized topics. Her knowledge of the industry and its problems, enables her to provide top-notch services and customized solutions for her clients.
Katarzyna has been with DBS since 2018. She has served as a Partner since 2024.

Education
A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin. She completed the attorney-at-law apprenticeship at the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Kielce, as well as postgraduate studies “Medical Law and Bioethics” at Jagiellonian University in Krakow. She gained professional experience, among other things, in working for capital companies from the medical devices sector.
