Career

Rabih specializes in international arbitration with a strong focus on construction and energy disputes. He has extensive experience advising major developers, consultants, and contractors on the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts, including those based on FIDIC forms.

He regularly acts for clients in arbitrations under DIAC, ICC, and the Lebanese Arbitration Center, and also advises on court litigation across the UAE and GCC.

His experience spans key sectors including oil and gas, engineering, project management, and large-scale infrastructure. Rabih also advises companies on doing business in the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

Representative Matters

• Represented a leading Italian luxury interior fit-out company in claims for outstanding payments against a construction company undergoing insolvency.

• Acted for a Qatari polysilicon manufacturer in an ICC arbitration (USD 15 million) involving complex gas supply agreements and damages computation under Qatari civil law.

• Successfully represented an engineering firm in DIAC arbitration regarding a landmark Dubai Marina tower; resolved through a favorable mediation in London.

• Represented a Japanese turbomachinery manufacturer in ICC arbitration seated in London, under English law.

• Advised an Emirati conglomerate in ICC arbitration in Paris relating to ownership and control of a Libyan oil refinery.

• Represented a leading construction and engineering firm in recovering performance bonds from Arabtec following piling works in Abu Dhabi.

• Acted for a seller of a perfume manufacturing company in DIFC-LCIA arbitration involving breaches of representations and warranties.
