
Aderonke Alex-Adedipe
Aderonke Alex-Adedipe is the Managing Partner and a Founding Partner at Pavestones. She is a corporate and commercial lawyer with extensive experience in advising local and multinational businesses including one of the largest Technology Companies, on navigating the Nigerian regulatory landscape.
Her areas of expertise include Finance, Technology, Foreign Investment, M&A, amongst others. She has participated in and facilitated numerous trainings, seminars, and conferences on fintech regulation, artificial intelligence, startup advisory within and outside Nigeria.
Aderonke has co-authored the Nigerian chapter for several notable international publications on Acquisition Finance and Commercial Law, including Getting the Deal Through. She also contributed to the text on Banking, Theory, Regulation and Law Practice which was edited by Dr. Dapo Olanipekun.
She has been consistently recognised by global legal directories, including the Chambers and Partners 2026 directory, where she is ranked as a Leading Lawyer in Fintech. She has also been ranked by IFLR1000, a guide to the world’s leading financial law firms, as a Highly Regarded Lawyer in Banking and Finance (2023) and as Notable Practitioner (2024 and 2025). She was also named among the 40 outstanding lawyers under 40 by the Esquire Nigerian Legal Awards and recognised as one of the 50 Women Tech Titans shaping the future of technology in Nigeria.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master of Laws degree from George Washington University.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Directors and currently serves as the Legal Director (Non-Executive) of the Women in Tech Global Movement (Nigeria Chapter). Aderonke is also the immediate past Chairman of Agric Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association – Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL).
She has led teams in several transactions including the following;
• Acted as legal adviser to SeaOwl Nigeria in connection with its share restructuring, dilution and management buy-out of its local partner;
• Acted as legal adviser to a consortium of 9 financial institutions in connection with a $660Million financing for the acquisition of partial interests in OML 19;
• Legal adviser to an SPV for the purpose of obtaining equity financing for the construction of a world class shopping center in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Part of the advise included drafting and reviewing of Shareholders Agreement, Share Acquisition Agreements and providing general legal advise
on local laws as they may have impacted the transaction;
• Issued complex legal opinions to a consortium in respect of a lease and buy back agreement in connection with the shares and assets of a major household product manufacturer in Nigeria;
• Issued several publications and newsletters which in respect of capital markets regulations in Nigeria.
