Chris Mitchell has been clerking since 1996, bringing nearly three decades of experience to his role. Over the years, he has developed a deep understanding of the criminal and regulatory sectors, having clerked at some of the country’s leading white-collar crime chambers. Chris leads the business development strategy at Chambers, working closely with members to enhance and grow their practices in an increasingly competitive legal market. His strategic insight, commercial awareness, and client-focused approach are instrumental in maintaining strong relationships and identifying new opportunities for counsel. Chris is known for his dedication, professionalism, and exceptional client care—qualities recognised by Legal 500 UK. His approachable and solution-driven style makes him a valued point of contact for instructing solicitors and clients alike. He has completed the Level 5 Diploma in Business and Leadership, further strengthening his capability to lead Chambers' development and ensure continued success.
Callum Ratcliffe
Callum Ratcliffe
Callum has been a criminal clerk since 2014, where he met both Joel and Leon, accumulating over 10 years’ experience in the legal sector. Callum holds the position as 1st Junior Clerk and his roles involve dealing with diary management, the day to day operating of the diary, all aspects of case administration and delivering professional services with the highest of quality to our clients and enquiries received via both phone and e-mail from either solicitors, CPS and barristers within chambers. Callum has recently in 2021 completed the Bar Council's Public Access for clerks course, which enables him to support barristers when accepting Public Access instructions. Callum also deals with the out of hours phone calls for court cover.
Emily Winter
Emily Winter
Emily is responsible for all aspects of Rose Court Chambers’ billing and fees collection. In addition to this she also manages Chambers’ financial administration. Emily has over 10 years’ experience as a fees clerk, and previously was a fees clerk at Furnival Chambers for 5 years before coming to Rose Court. She has proven herself to be highly proficient in all types of criminal billing, for both defence and prosecution. She will always utilise her experience and knowledge to make sure counsel are remunerated to the fullest extent possible.
