Position

Ali is a Senior Associate at MMA Law with more than Thirteen years of hands-on experience in Kuwaiti courts and one of the most active lawyers in the legal field though his contributions in legislations and regulations, Ali has participated and advised the relevant authorities concerning the most recent laws related to reshaping the commercial policies in Kuwait, he is also the leader of the litigation team in MMA Law. His expert understanding of Kuwaiti constitution, laws and regulations in addition to practical experience in courts and his keen litigation strategies have led to significant victories for both individual and corporate clients.

Career

Obtained the first-ever judgement by the administrative court against Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a governmental entity. Advised a major construction company on the feasibility of nullifying an arbitration clause in a multi-million-dollar subcontract agreement with an international contractor. Ali’s strategic counsel led to a final judgement in favor of the local contractor, nullifying the arbitration clause. Successfully nullified several lump sum construction contracts and secured final judgements for clients to receive the actual cost of the completed work. Obtained numerous judgements from the Disciplinary Court revoking disciplinary decisions against high-ranking employees. Represented former parliamentary candidates in litigation before the Constitutional Court.

Professional Engagements & Contributions

Presented a workshop for the Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects in collaboration with the British law firm Systech Law—one of MMA Law’s partners—addressing practical challenges facing PPP projects in Kuwait and outlining modern international approaches to PPP structuring and implementation.

Served as a speaker at an anti–money laundering and government-embezzled assets recovery event hosted by the Kuwait Lawyers Society in June 2023.

Member of the regulatory drafting committee for Law No. 10/2020 concerning attestation and notarization.

Proficient in analyzing corporate financial statements and assessing board-level liabilities.

Completed an Islamic Finance certification program in Istanbul in 2016.

Served on the committee formed by the Public Authority for Industry tasked with developing industrial land allocation policies.
