Masayuki Horiike

Masayuki Horiike is a partner at TKI. Prior to joining the firm, Masa worked at the Tokyo office of the major U.S. law firm for more than 10 years. Masa has more than 15 years of experience advising multinational companies and investment funds in a range of transactions, including domestic and cross-border M&A and investments, and joint ventures. In addition, he worked in the Silicon Valley Office of the major U.S. law firm where he advised on U.S. M&A transactions, including acquisitions of and investments in tech companies. He also has significant experience representing international investment funds and companies on their corporate PPA deals and investments in the renewable energy industry, real estate transactions and associated financing.

Mikiharu Mori

Mikiharu Mori is the co-founder and managing partner of TKI. Mikiharu has been named as a leading practitioner for M&A by Japanese and global media, including Nihon Keizai Shinbun, Weekly Economist, IFLR 1000, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Asian Legal Business (ALB) and asialaw. His major publications include "Cross-border M&A Contract Practice" (editor and co-author) (Chuo Keizai-sha, 2021) and "Tender Offer Practice by Transaction Type" (Chuo Keizai-sha, 2023). Mikiharu speaks frequently on various topics, including cross-border M&A, corporate governance and related legal issues. Mikiharu also serves as a Think! Expert (commentator) for Nihon Keizai Shimbun and his comments are frequently published and featured in major newspapers, magazines and TV news reports. He also serves as an outside statutory auditor (kansayaku) of a Japanese company listed with the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, advisor to the International Affairs Working Group of Japan Pharmaceutical Industry Legal Affairs Association, and Executive Director of Law Alumni Association of the University of Tokyo. Mikiharu also has experience of serving as Chair of Special Investigation Committee for corporate governance and compliance matter and Chair of Special Committee for Tender Offer of Japanese listed companies.
