Career
Florian Meyer is a patent attorney specializing in intellectual property protection in the field of computer-implemented inventions (CII), blockchain technologies, and artificial intelligence, including neural networks. He provides comprehensive support to clients in securing patents for innovative software solutions, as well as in protecting designs and trademarks — always with a focus on the specific needs of the IT and high-tech sectors.
He has many years of experience in opposition proceedings, utility model cancellation actions, and nullity suits before the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), the Federal Patent Court, and the European Patent Office (EPO). Another key area of his practice is supporting clients in patent infringement proceedings — nationally before German regional courts (e.g., in mechanical engineering and telecommunications), and internationally before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), particularly in disputes involving standard-essential patents (SEPs).
Florian Meyer also regularly prepares legal opinions on patent infringement and validity, primarily for companies.
