Areas of practice: Kennedys is a highly specialised law firm with expertise in litigation and dispute resolution within the insurance sector, and the firm undertakes coverage and defence work over all classes of business from insurers. The firm is one of the market leaders within these fields of practice and represents both domestic and international insurers based on longstanding client relations.

Kennedys advises on all aspects of insurance and reinsurance, including corporate insurance, policy wording, coverage advice and compliance, and handles all types of disputes related to the insurance sector. The firm handles a wide range of liability matters such as large scale D&O/PI claims, product liability claims, construction and engineering claims, crime insurance claims, and coverage claims including major claims within the energy sector.

Kennedys also provides policy advice and handles day-to-day litigation in regards to commercial insurance, recall, subrogation, compliance, personal injury claims and provides specialised advice in connection to mergers and acquisitions within the insurance business.

Litigation and negotiation of settlements is an integral part of working at Kennedys and the partners have an average of more than 20 years’ experience working as attorneys specialised within insurance law and dispute resolution.

The team is also very experienced in providing specialised advice on risk management from a liability perspective and Kennedys regularly assists companies in drafting and negotiating contracts.

Kennedys is often instructed by professional indemnity insurers and leading Danish C20 companies and has significant experience in resolving high-value and complex claims, including cross-border claims. A such, Kennedys is a leader when it comes to the value, complexity and importance of insurance-related cases.

Kennedys has represented clients in several cases with fundamental importance for the insurance sector and has handled sensitive cases with extreme focus from the media.
