TILEGAL - TOPDEMIR INANDIOGLU KOMUC LAW OFFICE

Interview with…

Savas Inandioglu, Partner

Partner Savaş İnandıoğlu shares how Tilegal is combining international expertise with a client-focused approach to meet evolving business needs.   What do you see as the main points that differentiate Tilegal from your competitors? I believe what truly sets Tilegal apart is our ability to combine strong legal expertise with a very practical, business-minded approach. We don’t just focus on what the law says, we focus on what works best for our clients’ commercial needs. Also, because of our background and experience in cross-border work, we bring an international perspective.   Which practices do you see growing in the next 12 months? What are the drivers behind that? Dispute resolution and insurance are definitely areas we expect to grow. The global economy is still creating a lot of uncertainty, and that often leads to more conflicts that need to be resolved. Shipping will also remain strong given Turkey’s geographic position and its role as a key trade hub.   What's the main change you've made in the firm that will benefit clients? We’ve made a conscious effort to build a more integrated team. In practice, this means that our clients don’t just get a litigator or a transactional lawyer, they get both perspectives at once. That helps us give more rounded advice and anticipate problems before they arise. We also have many departments that are useful for our client’s every need.   Is technology changing the way you interact with your clients, and the services you can provide them? Yes, very much so. We’re now able to share updates, documents, and case information securely online, which keeps our clients fully in the loop no matter where they are. Also, many of our clients have their own databases, and we can directly access the relevant files through these platforms. This ensures that our clients are always up to date with the information regarding their litigation cases. It’s not just about speed, it’s also about transparency and trust.   Can you give us a practical example of how you have helped a client to add value to their business? One example that comes to mind is when we represented a global insurer in a complex subrogation case involving several jurisdictions. By putting together a clear cross-border strategy, we not only secured recovery for them but also helped them adjust their internal processes to minimize similar risks in the future. It was very rewarding to see the legal work translate into real business value.   Are clients looking for stability and strategic direction from their law firms - where do you see the firm in three years’ time? Yes, clients definitely want stability, but also creativity. They want to know their law firm can guide them through uncertain times and help them see what’s coming next. In three years, I see Tilegal growing as a law firm with an even stronger international presence. We want to be the go to team for complex disputes and transactions where a mix of local knowledge and global outlook is essential.
