Erik is an attorney. In January 2023, Erik joined SIX advocaten as partner.

Erik specialises in civil construction law, project and area development and public procurement law. He has broad experience in advising and litigating on large scale construction projects, area developments and public-private partnerships (PPS). Erik advises both public authorities and contractors, project developers and investors and has in-depth knowledge of Dutch construction model forms such as the UAV, UAV-GC and DBFM(O).

Furthermore, Erik specialises in public procurement law. Erik advises both public authorities and market operators on complex tender procedures in various sectors such as construction, public transport, mobility and renewable energy.

Erik regularly publishes and lectures on construction and public procurement law. Among others, he is a lecturer at the Grotius Academy, course on European and Dutch public procurement law. Also he contributed as co-author on the Sdu public procurement manual (Sdu Commentaar Aanbestedingsrecht). Erik is a member Construction Lawyers Association (Vereniging voor Bouwrecht-advocaten) and the Dutch Association for Procurement Law (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Aanbestedingsrecht).

Erik is an attorney since 2009, including more than 10 years at the real estate department of Stibbe Amsterdam. In January 2023, Erik joined SIX advocaten as partner.
