Position

Quentin Untermaier has been a lawyer at the Lyon Bar since 2014. He works on issues related to environmental law, urban planning, and development. He advises local authorities and private operators, particularly on aspects related to environmental assessment procedures and public participation.
He also handles cases involving classified facilities (ICPE), waste law, polluted sites and soils, water and hydroelectricity policing, nature protection, and coastal law, both in an advisory capacity and in litigation.
Quentin Untermaier teaches environmental law as part of the Master 2 Bioévaluation des écosystèmes et expertise de la biodiversité (BEEB) program at Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University and as part of the Master 2 “Risque et Environnement” program at Lyon 2 University.
He also provides training in environmental law as part of the initial and continuing education of student lawyers and lawyers at EDARA.
