Jonathan Blythe

Jonathan is Director and Senior partner at Senguler & Senguler with nearly 30 years’ experience in the Turkish legal market. He has built up a significant practice advising clients in a variety of sectors with deep experience in M&A, energy, finance, banking and project work. Being able to negotiate and draft in Turkish, together with his knowledge of the local market, he has helped many foreign investors navigate the tricky waters of the legal and regulatory regime. Advising on M&A deals and providing day to day support on corporate matters for multinational clients forms an integral part of his practice. Jonathan is also a qualified arbitrator, sitting in ICC cases and leads the Senguler team in their investment arbitration cases.

Nihan Yigit

Nihan is a Partner with Senguler and heads the corporate and commercial law department of the firm. She has broad range of experience in advising multinational investors particularly in wide range of domestic and international contracts, corporate matters, cross border M&A projects as well as corporate restructuring and financial projects. She represented clients in particularly energy, natural sources, industrial, pharmaceutical and telecom sectors. She proactively supports the clients based on her deep understanding of their business and offers pragmatic solutions. She also has led on significant privacy and data protection projects, including implementing compliance programs, binding corporate rules, privacy and cookie policies employee monitoring and employee training schemes.

Coşkun Şengüler

Coskun Senguler is a former appeal court judge from the Commercial Appeal courts of Turkey. Thereafter he took up the post of senior legal counsel with Cukurova Holdings owner of Turkcell the largest local mobile network provider. He served in that capacity for over 15 years and advised in some of Turkey’s most significant M&A transactions. He has a wealth of legal experience and technical deal knowledge Deal Selection: Advising in the sale of one of Turkey’s largest banks to the Koc group (billion dollar plus deal). Advising on sale and restructuring of industrial machinery business (multi-million-dollar deal). Advising on all aspects of the share transfer and ongoing dispute in relation to the ownership in Turkcell. Providing day to day corporate and compliance support for the group including negotiations with the Banking Regulator, Telecoms regulator and energy regulator.

Gül Şengüler

Gul is a Partner in Senguler and heads the litigation department of the firm. She advises on a wide range of Turkish Law matters, with a focus on employment and commercial litigation as well as debt collection matters. Gul represents multinational companies in Turkey in reinstatement claims and compensation claims before labour courts, providing daily advice on employment related queries of clients, assisting client during collective dismissal processes, prepares reports in order to assess the potential financial risk of the client in case of collective dismissals, develops settlement strategy with global counsel management. Gul has 25 + years of experience in execution proceedings, debt collection and enforcement of judgements also acted for a number of banks in Turkey.
