The firm

The firm was established in 2013 as a member firm of EY. The firm focuses on delivering integrated, cross-border services together with EY’s other professionals, in such areas as transactions, workforce transformations, digital law and compliance and risk management.

Areas of practice

The firm’s managing partner, Junzaburo Kiuchi, has extensive experience in cross-border M&A, JV, private equity/venture capital transactions. Before joining EY, he was a partner for 10 years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Dual qualified in Japan and the US, he is able to understand and bridge the differences that arise from different jurisdictions and different cultures. For global clients managing a project in Japan, he can guide them through the intricacies of Japanese law and provide them with clear, comprehensive advice.

The firm also has specialists in other areas such as labour and employment, antitrust and competition law and real estate, and is developing a “Digital Law” practice together with EY’s other professionals and overseas lawyers.
