Torgeir Fjeldskaar has more than 20 years of experience as a tax lawyer and heads the tax department at SANDS. He assists Norwegian and international clients in all central areas of Norwegian and international tax and VAT law.

Torgeir regularly provides strategic tax advice in connection with mergers and acquisitions, cross‑border operations, transfer pricing and other ongoing tax matters. He also has in‑depth knowledge of special tax regimes, including the Norwegian tonnage tax system. He has extensive experience assisting clients in proceedings before the tax authorities, including advance rulings, tax audits and administrative appeals.

Torgeir frequently litigates tax and VAT cases before the Norwegian courts and was admitted to the Supreme Court in 2017. He also has experience with proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
