Dr Quang Truong Vu is an Associate at Fieldfisher’s Hamburg office and advises on all aspects of Real Estate Law.

A particular focus of his work is on drafting contracts and conducting legal due diligence in relation to property transactions.

Publications

His doctoral thesis, entitled "Property Purchase and Exclusion of Warranty", was published by Nomos as part of its series on property law. In this work, he analysed the legal, historical and economic perspectives of warranty exclusions in the acquisition of existing properties and put forward proposals for more efficient risk allocation in property transactions.

Prior to joining Fieldfisher, he completed his legal training at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Bremen, including placements at the German Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt) and at an international law firm with offices in Hamburg and Hanoi. He completed his Second State Examination in Law before the Joint Examination Office of Bremen, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.

Dr Quang Truong Vu studied at the University of Bremen. After passing the First State Examination in Law, he worked there as a research assistant to Prof. Dr Gralf-Peter Calliess and at the Institute for Commercial Law whilst pursuing his doctoral studies, and subsequently obtained his Dr iur. degree.
