De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek
Diversity
At De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) go hand in hand with responsible business. A workforce with different perspectives delivers stronger legal advice and more innovative outcomes for clients. This is why we employ a structured approach with a DEIB policy and action plan in place and a dedicated DEIB Lead to implement these.
Every colleague, regardless of background, identity or lived experience, should feel valued, heard and able to thrive. We focus on progress in multiple dimensions including gender equity, cultural and ethnic diversity, and LGBTQ+ inclusion. With more than 60 nationalities represented across the firm, we continue to broaden the diversity of voices in our teams and leadership. Our Inclusion Committee and Diversity Communities play an active role in fostering an inclusive environment at De Brauw.
Curiosity and continuous learning are embedded in our culture. We regularly invite external speakers and thought leaders with diverse backgrounds and viewpoints to share their experiences and perspectives. These sessions inspire reflection, strengthen allyship and deepen our collective understanding of inclusion. In addition, we work with organisations such as Talent naar de Top, Roots Inspire, Bridges and Lequal, giving our people access to events and valuable mentoring and sponsorship trajectories.
Our commitment extends beyond our workplace. We engage in pro bono initiatives and community partnerships that improve access to justice and education. ESG is a core part of our advisory work, helping clients deal with sustainability regulation, responsible governance and energy transition matters, while we also continue to reduce our own environmental footprint and contribute positively to society.
We take pride in the talent and diversity that exist at De Brauw. By creating an environment where every perspective can make a meaningful contribution, we deliver excellence to our clients and the communities we serve.
