On May 24, Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin signed legislation authorizing and directing the Oklahoma Tax Commission to administer a tax amnesty program, termed a "Voluntary Disclosure Initiative," that will run from Sept. 1, to Nov. 30. The program applies to most taxes administered by the Tax Commission and marks the third time in recent years that the state has offered taxpayers an opportunity to avoid interest and penalties on delinquent taxes.
