Gregory Bautista (Partner-White Plains) authored an article in the January 27, 2017, issue of the New York Law Journal, "Managing Your Company's Cybersecurity Risks," that stresses the importance of planning and preparation in mounting an effective response to cybersecurity threats. He stresses being realistic about program development and implementation: "When designing a new or improved privacy and security program, budgetary and practical constraints will be a decisive factor in what you can build and where you can have the biggest impact on risk. Thus, a preliminary program should be crafted to focus on where you can make the biggest impact while minimizing cost increases, in addition to meeting your legal obligations."
