The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine prolonged the amnesty period during which companies can make corrective merger filings till 15 March 2017.
The fine for failure to have a relevant past merger cleared shall still be limited to approx. EUR 3,500, provided that the merger closed before 15 September 2015.
The authority noted that many companies filed corrective filings under amnesty procedure which has been in place for a year already. Many of these filings were made during the last several months and the authority expects other filers to knock on their door soon thanks to this half-year extension.
