At present there are a total of 38 insurance managers in the Island and most are members of their own professional local organisation: the Guernsey Insurance Company Managers Association. A complete membership list is enclosed with this newsletter.
The bulk of managers are owned by or are associated with international insurers or brokers such as Commercial Union, Royal Insurance, Johnson & Higgins, Marsh and McLennan, Willis Corroon, Sedgwicks, Bain Hogg, Minets and AIG. But there are also a large number of independent insurance managers including International Risk Management (70% owned by Swiss Re), Polygon, Spread Insurance Management Limited, Wilde & Co. Insurance Managers, Optimum Risk and Channel Islands Insurance Consultants.
