Currently, it is expected that the Egypt Trademark Office will raise the official fees pertaining to the trademark and design prosecution.
The relevant decree has still not entered into force, although the implementation date has been listed as September 5th of 2019.
In light of the above, we recommend our clients, considering taking an action in Egypt as to the trademark and design prosecution, should take necessary steps as soon as possible not to be affected from new increased official fees.
