The Brazilian Appeals' Court of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Tribunal de Justiça do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul) has revoked a decision issued by the lower Court that had ordered Google to exclude from its website pages which supposedly violated the privacy of an user.
The understanding of the Appeals' Court, based on precedents of the Brazilian Superior Court of Justice (Superior Tribunal de Justiça), was that internet service providers, such as Google, only concentrate and organize links to pages and information offered on the internet, according to filters chosen by users.
