Civitas Law

Appearing for both claimants and some significant public sector respondents, Civitas Law remains one of the largest employment sets on the circuit. Joanne Williams is instructed by HMRC to defend a race, disability and sex discrimination claim brought by a former employee. Jonathan Walters joined from River Chambers in November 2019.

Iscoed Chambers

Swansea-based Iscoed Chambers provides 'barristers who are experts in employment law' and solicitors 'know that they are in safe hands when instructing one of their barristers'. The set features comprehensive employment law expertise, with members handling cases involving issues of unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, equal pay, unlawful deductions of wages and restrictive covenants. In a recent case, George Pollitt represented a company in a two day long constructive dismissal claim brought by the its former managing director, with issues involving the covert recording of employers by employees.
