The practice’s work frequently involves cross-border matters covering regions such as the US, UK, Europe and South America, with recent highlights including advising on a claim regarding the presence of cracks on leaking vaults of oxide plants.   • Advised La Positiva Seguros on a $23m arbitration process regarding a fire on an insured cardboard factory in 2019.
  • Advised Munich Re, New India, Chaucer, Brit, CV Starr, Ironshore AXA XL, Faraday, Beazley on a $60m lawsuit in respect of damages to two hydroelectric stations in January-March 2017 due to El Niño.

Osterling Abogados

The insurance lawyers at Osterling Abogados are described as ‘specialists’ in the field. The department is jointly led by Enrique Ferrando and Gabriel Loli; Loli is especially adept at advising clients on insurance claims arising from construction and engineering, while Ferrando is an experienced litigator and possesses extensive knowledge on both the insurance regulatory framework and commercial issues.
