The compliance team at Arias is focused on working with existing clients to review and update compliance programmes or put new systems in place. Thanks to its multi-disciplinary approach, the team is able to undertake compliance matters in numerous areas of law such as tax, labour, environment, free trade zones, anti-corruption and anti-money laundering. Regulatory expert Vicente Lines spearheads the team together with associate German Rojas, who has a strong track record in criminal law, particularly in the field of white-collar crime. Although the group covers a wide range of sectors, it is particularly active in the food and medical devices industries.

Dentons Muñoz

The anti-corruption and compliance team at Dentons Muñoz designs and implements compliance programmes to help businesses identify, monitor and anticipate internal risks. As part of a global firm, the team is also in a position to offer technological solutions such as a whistleblower systems tool and a compliance agility assessment. Carolina Muñoz, who is also responsible for this department on a regional level, leads the Costa Rican group with general counsel Tatiana Reuben. Muñoz specialises in international anti-corruption law and regional compliance, as well as internal investigations, and Reuben is well equipped to handle risk assessments, ethics programmes and compliance training for multinationals from a variety of industry sectors.
