Practice

Peter worked as a solicitor in national law firms for over 20 years specialising in insurance litigation and commercial disputes. His speciality was dealing with professional negligence claims including solicitors, surveyors and vets.

For this reason he has not been involved in any reported cases, although he has been involved in some high profile cases details of which are confidential.

Peter was Law Society Civil Litigation Council Member and prior to that was a member of the Civil Justice Committee and was on the Guideline Hourly Rates costs committee. Peter no longer practises as a solicitor having transferred to the Bar permanently. Peter is obtaining public access rights.

As well as being an advocate, Peter trained as a mediator and is a keen proponent of mediation in civil cases. He also trains people as mediators.
