Basharat regularly appears in complex Care proceedings involving serious neglect, sexual abuse and non-accidental injury and was involved as a junior in one of the longest running finding of fact hearing of sexual abuse in the High Court representing the interests of a vulnerable party.

Due to his own background and understanding of Indian subcontinent customs and norms, Basharat is regularly sought after and instructed on behalf of clients where there are sensitive issues of cultural and religious considerations within care proceedings.
