Position

Barrister specialising in all areas of IP and media and entertainment. Recent patent cases include: Accord v Medac (formulation of methotrexate); Glass v Freyssinet (concrete reinforcement); Mylan v Gedeon Richter (emergency contraception) and Schutz v Werit (which went to the Supreme Court on the issue of repair). Lindsay has also acted in a number of SPC cases. Recent copyright/database right cases include: Football Dataco v Stan James and Football Dataco v Sportradar (concerning rights in football data, both referred to the CJEU) and BBC v Eos (in the Copyright Tribunal). Recent breach of confidence cases include: Wade v BSkyB (television format); Force India v 1 Malaysia Racing Team (trial and appeal on liability and quantum relating to F1 cars). Recent trade mark/passing off cases include: A&E Television Networks v Discovery Communications (TV channel names); 32Red v WHG (inquiry as to damages).
