Position

Stephanie Painter is developing a mixed common law practice, accepting instructions across a range of criminal, civil and family matters, with a focus on crime. Stephanie is currently undertaking a six-month secondment with the CPS Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Unit and is due to accept new instructions again in the new year.

Career

Stephanie read Law at the University of Exeter and went on to study a Masters in International Human Rights Law. She holds the Mary McMurray scholarship from Lincoln’s Inn.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Stephanie worked as a Project Manager for a global e-disclosure company. Stephanie managed numerous international projects with magic-circle law firms and advised clients on the e-discovery process from start to finish. Stephanie has also previously worked as a Legal Assistant for a regional solicitors firm, so has a working knowledge of case management.
