Position

Robin came to the Bar as an experienced solicitor of eight years, specialising in personal injury and medical negligence claims. His principal fields of practice at the Bar are personal injury and professional and medical negligence. Since coming to the Bar, Robin has drawn on his past experience as solicitor representing many in the insurance industry. He specialises in personal injury litigation and now represents both pursuers and defenders, where he regularly receives instructions from many of the leading firms in this area. He also has experience in other areas of civil litigation, and his other main specialism is valuation for ratings claims in both local tribunals and in the Lands Valuation Appeal Court. He has also appeared as an ad hoc advocate depute in the sentence appeal court in the High Court. Robin has a particular interest in employer’s liability and medical negligence claims. Throughout his time at the Bar, Robin has regularly delivered seminars, particularly on personal injury matters. He has also spoken at a number of Central Law Training events.
