Position
Rob works in the electromechanical group of Elkington and Fife but has a PhD in chemistry which makes him ideally suited to handle electromechanical subjects that require a good understanding of chemistry, such as green energy technologies, eg fuel cell and solar panel technology, applied materials science such as nanotechnology, organic semiconductor materials, and (medical) sensor technology, chemical process technology and so on. Prior to joining E&F, Rob worked at the IP departments of Philips Electronics in the Netherlands and in the UK, as well as for the NXP department where he gained a considerable amount of experience in handling semiconductor technology-related inventions with an emphasis on digital circuits and semiconductor manufacturing processes. Rob further worked at the Philips Research labs for a number of years in the field of computer sciences such that he is also comfortable with handling software-related subject matter.
