As a member of Vancouver’s labour and employment group and litigation and dispute resolution group, Jeff Bastien is uniquely positioned to advise clients on a multitude of issues facing the modern business. 

Jeff takes a multifaceted approach to his work and assists clients with managing all stages of employment relationships and developing business environments in which disputes are anticipated and resolved.  In particular, Jeff advises and represents clients in matters involving employment standards, hiring and terminating employees, workers’ compensation, human rights, privacy and occupational health and safety.  As a member of the labour and employment and litigation and dispute resolution teams, Jeff has been involved in employment litigation involving breach of restrictive covenants, breach of confidentiality and wrongful dismissal, as well as civil and commercial litigation involving breach of contract, product liability and negligence.  Jeff has appeared before the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and has represented clients before tribunals including the Employment Standards Tribunal and the Human Rights Tribunal.

Prior to joining Dentons, Jeff gained experience with workers’ compensation matters, acting as a WorkSafeBC Review Division intern review officer.
