Career
Kim is an associate in Dentons’ corporate group. Her practice includes securities and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial matters, corporate governance, as well as venture technology and emerging growth companies. She has experience with clients across a variety of industry sectors including technology, private equity, gaming, mining, oil & gas, and healthcare. Kim advises start-up companies and early-stage entrepreneurs on a wide range of critical issues, including negotiating a shareholders’ agreement, protecting intellectual property, developing contracts for key people, and documenting rounds of financing. Before she began working as a lawyer, Kim was an economist for the Ontario Ministry of Finance providing analytical support and policy advice on a wide range of microeconomic issues.
