Dina Awad is an associate in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. Her practice focuses on complex regulatory and commercial litigation. Dina represents and advises individuals, government entities, and companies in a variety of matters, including commercial contractual disputes, professional negligence, real estate, and matters involving extraordinary remedies, such as injunctions.

Dina is fluently bilingual in French and English, and has extensive advocacy experience in both languages. She has been successful before several courts and administrative tribunals including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Commercial List, the Ontario Divisional Court, the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario College of Teachers, the Ontario Municipal Board, and before arbitrators in confidential commercial arbitrations.

Before joining the Firm, Dina was legal counsel to a regulator where she regularly prosecuted professionals charged with misconduct. Prior to that, she maintained a bilingual litigation practice at a large national law firm and a litigation boutique, providing clients with strategic advice and representation in all types of private and government litigation. In 2012-2013, Dina served as judicial law clerk to the Honourable Justice Gauthier at the Federal Court of Appeal. As a lawyer, Dina draws upon her prior work experience as a government research analyst and as a consultant for an international governance and economic consultancy firm.
