Career

Manuel Serrano Rey is a Junior associate of the Intellectual Property and Technology group at Dentons’ Bogotá, Colombia office, Dentons Cárdenas & Cárdenas.

Manuel focuses his practice on Consumer Protection and Personal Data Protection law. In these areas, he deals with all matters related to these issues, including review of regulations and application of particular legislation for Colombia, development and review of privacy and consumer audits, as well as accompanying clients in jurisdictional proceedings before the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce, the national entity in charge of reviewing, investigating, controlling, regulating, and enforcing compliance with the rules on these matters in Colombia.

Manuel has experience in the private sector, where he has advised national and international companies on issues related to Consumer Protection and Privacy, through the development of audits, jurisdictional representation and general review of different legal documents.
