Career

Partner at Uhthoff in Mexico, where he leads the Patent Technical Department at the Firm.

Eugenio has more than 25 years of experience in the management and technical advice of National and Multinational companies for the protection of their patent portfolio in Mexico and abroad. His specialty areas are: Mechanics, Electronics, Industrial Designs, Telecommunications and Information Technologies, among others.

Memberships

• Active member in the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), deeply involved in the Patent Committee in which he acted as Chairman of the same for six years (2008-2014)
• Currently Treasurer of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI)and in the past he was the commissioner of the Educational Committee for six years (2015-2020)
• Professor in the Industrial Property study program at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), Módulo II, Industrial Innovations.
• Member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) participating as a regular speaker in Mexico and abroad for patent matters and very involved in the Latin America Committee being the responsible for the Mexican and the Central American regions (2011-2015)
• He was the Co- Chair of the Latin American Committee of AIPLA (2016-2019).

Education

He holds an Engineering Degree from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico and an Industrial and Intellectual Property Law Diplomat from Universidad Panamericana (UP) Mexico.
