James is an Associate in our Finance group with experience in a range of finance and restructuring work acting for banks, funds, accountants and corporates, advising on various aspects of distressed lending, general banking transactions and non-contentious restructuring. In particular James has experience of transactional finance work including refinancing and restructurings, acquisition finance and real estate finance, covering bilateral and syndicated lending. Recent experience includes advising senior lenders in relation to restructuring of a care home business, advising a turnaround fund on the acquisition of a security business and advising UK clearing banks on the sale of various debt participations.

James has recently undertaken a nine month secondment to Barclays.
