Jonathan is a Principal Associate in the Company Commercial team with extensive experience of advising on transactions in the climate change and energy sectors.

He is a member of the firm’s Energy and Natural Resources Group and his experience includes advising on all aspects of the law relating to the energy industry’s physical infrastructure, energy regulatory matters and power generation schemes, particularly in the renewables sector.

Jonathan’s clients include utilities, large industrial consumers, property developers, lenders, sponsors and energy service companies (ESCOs).

His recent experience includes advising Thanet Offshore Wind Limited on its 300MW offshore wind farm development and also the subsequent sale to Vattenfall AB, advising Stratford City Business District (a joint venture between Lend Lease and London & Continental Railways) in connection with its energy (electricity, heat, gas and water) requirements in light of the post-Olympic concession arrangements in Stratford, East London and advising on the £5.8bn sale of EDF Energy plc’s electricity distribution networks business to UK Power Networks part of the Cheung Kong Infrastructure group.
