Ian is a Legal Director in our tax group specialising in corporate tax issues.
He regularly advises on M&A transactions, company reconstructions, restructurings of underperforming businesses, finance transactions and investment funds. His practice includes both tax planning and transactional work.

Examples of Ian's work include advising management of a large private equity fund on an MBO of that fund, advising sellers on the disposal of an international energy services group, advising the authorised corporate director of an open ended investment company in relation to the tax consequences of certain investments, advising joint lead managers on a eurobond offering by a Dutch issuer and advising major banks both in relation to entering into finance transactions and restructuring distressed debtor companies.

Ian regularly gives training and writes articles on tax matters.
