Brexit Law  and the legal implications for businessesJames is a Legal Director in our Litigation Dispute Management Group specialising in both domestic and international construction and engineering projects. 

James has experience of advising on a wide range of disputes arising out of both standard form contracts and bespoke terms and conditions, and the resolution of disputes in all of the major dispute resolution forums.

James also has experience of  advising on bonds and guarantees given in support of a construction project; the calling of bonds and on both obtaining and discharging injunctive relief in a wide variety of different circumstances.

His recent experience includes:

  • underground excavation and tunnelling;
  • the refurbishment of a sewage plant;
  • the construction of an energy from waste plant;
  • reinforced concrete corrosion and repair;
  • cathodic protection systems;
  • rock armour placement and sea and river defence schemes;
  • rail signalling systems;
  • station and track renewal and upgrade;
  • fleet maintenance and performance measurement against various performance measurement codes and KPI's.

James also has experience of working in-house having worked for several years with a large UK rail contractor.
