Hugh is a Partner in our Pensions Group.

Hugh advises a range of employer and trustee pension clients, including multinational corporations with UK pension plans. His work covers advice on technical pensions issues, both defined benefit and defined contribution, the pensions aspects of corporate transactions, funding negotiations with trustees and other aspects of pension liability management, as well as the pensions aspects of HR planning.

Hugh has a particular expertise in the area of pensions investment and insurance law. He heads up the Eversheds pensions insurance practice. Together with a large benefit consultancy he has developed a pensions insurance product that gives trustees the ability to transact on pre-negotiated terms and with pre-written legal comfort.

Hugh has 13 years' pensions experience. He is a regular speaker at pensions industry events and in the pensions media.
