Clare is a newly qualified associate in our planning and infrastructure consenting team, and based in the London office.

Clare advises on a broad range of planning and infrastructure law including: the consenting of public infrastructure schemes through the promotion of TWA Orders, Development Consent Orders (DCO) and hybrid Bills through to implementation of the authorised powers; and Town and Country Planning projects including urban re-development. She also advises on judicial review and statutory challenges in respect of planning issues.

Her recent experience includes the promotion of a new strategic railway line and advising on the management of petitions against the hybrid Bill, including support for Select Committee hearings and negotiating agreements with individuals and large commercial land owners; providing advice in relation to the implementation of a TWA Order in central London; and successfully defending a potential judicial review challenge for a large residential scheme.

Clare worked in public affairs for almost three years before qualifying as a solicitor. In her role as a consultant she advised clients in the transport, energy and infrastructure sectors.
