Phillip is an Associate in our real estate team. He re-joined the team upon qualifying in September 2012, having spent a year in the real estate department during his training contract. Phillip specialises in commercial property, with particular knowledge of the education sector and landlord and tenant work.

Phillip has gained exposure to property transactions in all their forms, including several substantial disposals (both single site and portfolio) and numerous estate management transactions, such as lettings, lease renewals, lease re-gears, and the various supplementary agreements required when dealing with leasehold property (variation, surrender, assignment, alteration etc).

In addition, Phillip has been heavily involved in providing support to a corporate transaction, assigning numerous leases to a new tenant following completion of an asset purchase. This has given Phillip valuable experience in dealing with a large number of sites concurrently in the context of a wider time-pressured transaction.

As part of his training, Phillip has also spent 6 months in our Construction department. This has given him useful insight into construction projects, which is  highly beneficial for property transactions in the context of ongoing or planned development.
