Matt is an Associate in the Litigation group, specialising in contentious construction and engineering matters.

He advises on all aspects of construction litigation and has experience in alternative dispute resolution proceedings including adjudication and mediation both on behalf of employers and contractors. Matt has wide experience of court proceedings.

Matt's has recently advised on adjudication proceedings on behalf of a major chemicals client, and further adjudication proceedings on behalf of a major utilities provider. Matt has also provided a civil engineering contractor with advice in relation to the defence of Part 8 Court proceedings and the settlement of a long-running final account dispute relating to an infrastructure project.

Matt has also provided advice to employer clients in respect of disputes with contractors, both regarding issues of fact and complex contract interpretation.

Matt also has expertise in professional indemnity claims, in particular in defending contractors, and is familiar with insurance policy wording and coverage disputes.
